Background:
Emile was born to a disgraced Ishgardian noble from a minor family. His father Aimiliens, had fled accusations of heresy and settled in the Twelveswood, leaving his wife and young daughter behind. After sometime living and working there, he met and fell in love with an elezen woman, and the two had a son, Emile.
Emile was born healthy and happy, although it soon became apparent that he had no sight, the boy was born blind. This, alongside the fact that he was a bastard and his mother was a Duskwright led to relentless bullying from a lot of the other children in Gridania, and many of the adults also looked down on him, though mostly for his bastard status and Duskwright heritage. As such he would often wander the Twelveswood on his own, and during his sojourns through there, he met upon the Moogle Pukla Paran and the Sylph Minaxia. The two claimed themselves to be his eyes and friends, and have been close friends of Emile and fierce rivals of each other ever since.
The two were able to make ends meet, but with the added burden of a young child, Aimliens was forced to seek work outside of Gridania and the Twelveswood to be able to support his son and partner, and when Emile was five, Aimilens was captured by Amalj'aa when he was doing work in Thanalan. He was presumed Tempered, but he hadn’t been seen since his capture.
Becoming the sole carer for Emile, Nellaure worked several jobs to make ends meet, and ended up following in the footsteps of her missing partner, and became a mercenary, and later enlisted in the Immortal Flames when she was working in Ul'dah. Unfortunately, Nellaure was killed at Cartenau during the Calamity, her squad was at the epicentre of Dalamud’s descent. There were no survivors from her squad.
A couple of months after the Calamity and Nellaure’s death, a Roegadyn woman by the name of Old Bull appeared in Gridania and stated that she had promised Emile’s mother that she would take care of him if something happened to her, and so Old Bull was making good on that promise. She took Emile to her home in Ul'dah where she has raised and taken care of him since.
Personality:
Emile is a kind hearted individual, despite the hardships he had endure in his early life. He is always looking for the bright side of things, and is always willing to lend an open ear and kind words.
He also has the patience of a saint, and is able to put up with the constant bickering between Minaxia and Pukla Paran
