“I must confess that you were released sooner than I anticipated, I had yet to even reach out to the Warrior of Light, though he did agree incredibly fast with minimal prodding, so it all worked out in the end”
“What would you have done had His Eminence refused?”
“He wouldn’t have. I can mount a convincing argument if needed and well there were a few people in the Vault happy to see you leave”

A segment from the latest (completed) chapter of my current project, a Final Fantasy XIV AU where the Warrior of Light is married to Grinnaux de Dzemael. Pure id on my part, and I'd been writing or RPing this since the end of 2015 with my OC Warrior of Light, Una'to. Fic-wise I'm still only at the trial portion of the MSQ, where the Warrior of Light has to save/prove the innocence of two of their fellow Scions from false heresy accusations in a trial by combat. I have plans to eventually take this all the way through Stormblood, though my plans for this AU through SB are not as concrete as the Heavensward portion of this (however my WoL will obtain a firey, scaley red boi sooner than when you face him in the game)
